Catherine
Gordon
received her degree in Theater from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame,
IN. After graduation she worked in Los Angeles for more than ten years
as an actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer. She had principal roles
in many of the large musical theater venues in the Los Angeles area
including, Nanette in No No Nanette at Downey Civic Light Opera,
Ermengarde in Hello Dolly (with Vicki Lawrence) at Glendale Music
Theater, Pat in Good News at Fullerton Civic Light Opera, and
Polly in The Boyfriend at Theatre Palisades. Her last show in
Los Angeles was the revival of Wonderful Town which starred Lucy
Arnaz, and was choreographed by the creator of the Solid Gold dancers,
Kevin Carlysle.
Catherine has enjoyed her varied roles from Hermia in A Midsummer
Night's Dream, to Debbie in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing,
to principal singer dancer on the MS Statendam for Holland America Line.
As a dancer she appeared in MTV music videos for the band Shleprock
and singer Montell Jordan, in the movie Shout, and in the television
productions, Lucy and Desi, Before the Laughter, and Life
Goes On. She has also done commercials for Countrywide, PacifiCare,
and El Pollo Loco.
Catherine is grateful to be living in the Sierra Foothills with her
husband Van and son Colin.
