Galyn Savage is a clinical psychologist who recently retired as Director of Behavioral Health for Sonora Regional Medical Center where she dealt with all manner of people who excelled in street theater and the dramatic arts. She currently scrapes by on a few odd jobs, bike riding, hiking, skate skiing and pretending her knees will hold out. She likes theater and all the arts (her father was an artist) and Rick and Tom, who she imagines are one and the same. She grew up in the Arizona desert where she believed she was a horse. High school and college were completed in Europe and after a brief stint in Boston and New York, she graduated from the University of Arizona. After experiencing what it was like to have the economic status of an artist, without any talent, she completed her Ph.D. at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Her only previous contribution to the arts has been as an appreciative audience member and small collector.
She thinks Duende is a wonderful amalgam of education and art, a boon to kids, and is glad to have the opportunity to offer something to it.
